WHAT DOES AAE FILE MEAN?

So it appears like this is a new fuel to support Photograph edits while in the iOS8/Yosemite ecosystem. Considering that Aperture has not been current, no less than to date it appears that on-telephone Picture edits are gonna get lost at the least until Yosemite drops...and perhaps in no way for Aperture.Should the AAE file has adjustments or edits
